AHA! Automatic Email Notifications!

This post may contain affiliate links.
Yesterday, I saw that my cousin has a sign up on her blog to receive notifications about new posts on her blog. I have set it all up for this blog--and hopefully it is all working. Here are some instructions from Feedblitz, the company I am using for notifications:

As part of your pre-import advisory message to your existing subscribers, please advise them to:

  • Add to their address books or email whitelists immediately.
  • Only unsubscribe using the links we provide in each email, and not their ISP's spam or abuse buttons.
  • Look out for the message from FeedBlitz advising them that the change has taken place.

If you have already signed up for email notifications, I have manually added you to feeds. You *should* begin to get automatic updates immediately. I am testing this out today. Please let me know of any troubles you might be having.

To subscribe, enter your email address in the field provided under the welcome message on the left.

Since this is a free service, there will be ads in the email. Sorry about that, but it was the only way to be free :)

I use microsoft feeds so whenever I open internet it will tell me once I click on my feeds who has updated. Simple easy and does not clog email.

Thanks Melissa. I know many email companies will provide updates on feeds you subscribe to, or tool bars, or Internet Explorer, or Google, Yahoo, etc. There are many options for. :)
