Definitely Butt Paste! :)
Original A&D ointment with Desitin or Triple Paste slathered over it.Boudreaux's Butt Paste is okay.
Sudocrem was always my favourite.
Extra Strength Desitin works like a charm, and has the highest percentage of zinc oxide, which is the active ingredient for ALL of the diaper rash creams.
A & D
depends what you mean. General maintence, regular old vasoline (super cheap!) if diaper rash pops up then Extra strength Destin (thick white stuff) works immediately to fix it.Another option is naked baby time. Open air...
Just had great success with naked-baby-time, followed by Aquaphor.
California Baby . . . it's the very best!
A & D followed by a layer of Desitin extra strength...and naked baby time on the play mat.
Grandma El's. Works great and safe on cloth diapers.
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste®
I also wanted to make sure you saw my comment on your product review page. My email address is still there, so I wasn't sure if you missed it.
My favorite for my 1st two kiddos: Balmex. My number 3 child had major constipation/blistering diaper rashes, so nothing really stuck well...I did use Triple Paste, and sometimes I would mix a few things (including Aquaphor), but having her go diaper-less for 15-20 minute stretches was best for her. For baby #4, I went between Balmex and Triple Paste.
Triple Paste Diaper Rash Ointment. Works like magic!
A & D is awesome on our little one's bottom! She get bad diaper rash (it even bleeds) so easily and the A & D clears it up within the day. She has such fair skin.
For my daughter, anytime she has gotten red, i've put hydrocortisone 1% cream on her bottom, let it dry and then put either extra strength desitin, butt paste OR burts bees diaper ointment on top. The very next day her bottom will be clear. This cleared her up after a round of amoxicillin that had her absolutely raw. Worst thing i've ever seen. My husband used to work outdoors and got "Chafed" regularly and swears by the hydrocortisone!
Purple tube Desitin. I'm not sure if it is extra strength or not, but it is MUCH better than the blue tube (Creamy Desitin).
Purple tube Desitin, mine says "maximum strength". My sister-in-law is a pediatrician & she recommends this diaper rash cream to all her patient's parents because it has the highest percentage of zinc oxide.I've tried several other brands including Boudreaux's Butt Paste & the regular strength blue tube of Desitin and none compare to how quickly the maximum strength Desitin works.
Arbonne Herbal Diaper Rash Cream - It not only protects; it heals. I had to use the Desitin in the diaper bag while on a trip because I forgot the Arbonne cream on the changing table at home. I couldn't believe the difference!
Method Squeaky Clean Diaper Cream!
Amolin works well, but its the only one i have needed to try. I'm Australian, so not sure whether its called something else in the US.
Burt's Bees is my number one pick. I've never found anything else that clears up a rash in one treatment like Burt's Bees does!
Paladin Soothing Relief Diaper Rash Ointment - This stuff is amazing. Rash is gone by the next day. My sister recommended it. I love it!
Burt's Bees with Butt Paste in a close second.
Thanks so much Valerie for getting this poll together! Here are my faves in order:1. Plain old fashioned "Vaseline". This is great for prevention, and if the rash is SUPER SEVERE, it is great b/c it is so easy to spread on and clean off of baby. I have been using it with my cloth diapers with no problem whatsoever. 2. Grandma El's (great for cloth diapering)3. Boudreaux's Butt Paste - heals diaper rash super fast!Amy
Aquaphor first then Desitin a close second (purple tube).
Aquaphor worked the best for my sons' terrible diaper rash. I tried Desitin and Butt Paste first with no success. Within two hours of using Aquaphor he had already started to heal!
Desitin has always done it for us. We've never had to go beyond that.
Triple Paste with A&D on top! Best solution is air dry though!
Aquaphor worked for us.
Avalon Organics works great for light maintenance and doesn't smell!!!Triple Paste for the heavy duty stuff.
Weleda. I've never had to use it more than 2x before a rash was gone!
Protective A, D & E Ointment by Baby Avalon Organics! Works wonders on diaper rash, dry skin, and just about anything else!
California Baby. It's safe for my cloth diapers and can be purchased at Target. My 14 month old daughter has only had rash issues from food irritations. If it's really bad, I definitely go for Balmex. Boudreaux's Butt Paste (which my Cajun family bought us tons of) makes her completely freak out. It burns her rash horribly.
Triple Paste for the tough stuff, for sure! We buy it by the biggest jar they make. Burt's Bees for everyday use and very mild issues.
desitin creamy for everyday use (prevention) and the purple one is when rashes already developed..but so far creamy desitin (the bule one) works well. my son never has rashes so far..
I love Aquaphor. My son has never really had a rash cause I use it everytime I change him. I got Balmex cause I had a coupon and it is nice to and I keep A&D in my diaper bad. I hate anything with zinc oixide in it. White stuff I have to scrub off my baby's bottom is not for me.
End It. Made locally, available at www.endit.com. Best stuff ever!
ok don't freak out, but Corona Ointment for animals. It's lanolin based and absolutely works for the worst diaper rashes out there. Hands down.
badger diaper cream works better than cali baby (i think)!
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste®!!!!
I use maximum strength Desitin and have very few diaper rashes. When I did get a nasty one on my oldest, my pharmacist recommended mixing an anti fungal for athlete's foot with A&D ointment and using that instead. It's a 1:3 ratio and works wonders!
What happened to tuesdays baby summary? It was missed :-(
Thanks Kelly! I have major problems with blogger right now. I set a post to publish, then it doesn't. It is driving me crazy. So I went and fixed it. It is published now. Right below this post.
Northern Essence All Natural Diaper Rash Salve (the twist up tube is the best!) This brand is very popular in the cloth diapering community.
My son only had one diaper rash and it was right when we found out he had a milk allergy. The rash was HORRIBLE! We had to use an antibiotic and pure zinc oxide to clear it up. Ever since then, we have been using the Target brand of A and D with zinc. It has the highest percentage of zinc that we could find. Love it!
Burt's bees and also arbonne. They were both gifts so I'll have to try something cheaper when they run out. Both get rid of rash in one application!
A&D ointment always worked for my boys.
A&D works great!
When Scooter was on meds for his pneumonia he had blister forming diaper rash. We tried everything. A friend suggested at the harvest fresh or good earth store a bottle of Country Comfort Herbal Savvy Comfrey-Aloe Vera. http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Savvy-Comfrey-Aloe-Vera/dp/B0001ZZK0EIts not a diaper creme at all, but not only within a day, but between diaper changes, the rash was gone. Its $9 at the healthstore but lasts MONTHS because you don't use it that often. It also doubles as a burn/scratch ointment-no scars left so far...
This question is very urgent but has nothing to do with this post. I became a follower of this blog on facebook and made a huge mess. It posts this blog in my notes like I am the one writing it! I have spent hours trying to delete it but end up deleting things like my wall! Please help!
Jade, I have no idea. You will have to contact Facebook about it. If by "in my notes" you mean under the notes tab on your profile page, that is not normal at all, so it would be a FB glitch.
thank you everyone! I got most of them on there. For those that were more uncommon or only local, vote under "other". Be sure to vote!
oh, and first I am doing a poll specifically for babies with eczema because their skin is definitely different. This poll is for eczema. Next will just be in general.
I just started using Lansinoh diaper cream, it is AMAZING!! Destin wasn't doing it for my son. He was on amoxacillin & it caused bad diarrhea.
These tend to run bigger than othes so if you're not ready to move up to the next size they help. I've had a few leakage issues though but that wouldn't deter me from giving this five stars. They move well too, when they get wet they don't become overly bulky.honest diaper reviews

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
