Current Poll

This post may contain affiliate links.
Hey everyone! I have a new poll up. I am considering moving forward to do an app based on the site. It is a huge investment, however, so I am interested in getting some feedback before moving forward. I have a poll up right now about it (see right). You can also comment here if you would like. Thanks!

It sounds interesting, but I'm interested to know what it would do.

Could you provide a description? My assumption is that it would be just like this blog with searchable topics?

I do not have a phone that would allow me to use this. Just thought I would let you know since the poll doesn't have that option.

I don't have a phone that does apps, so I also wouldn't buy. :)

I also don't have a phone that would work. But I am curious to know exactly what you'd like that app to do... what would be its function?

I would definitely use it

I think that creating an app is an excellent idea. That's definitely where technology is heading. I would use it if it's free.

Would love it! I am a huge techie and fan of this site, so it's the perfect combo! My husband just published his first iphone/ipad app last week :-)

I think it would meet a very specific niche and for that reason be very valuable. I know I would use it since the first three months of my second child's life were spent surfing your site on my iPod! :)

its hard to read this blog on a smartphone. so an app would make this easier. I would definetly use it if it was on an android or iPad. I think it would be great if it was free or like 99 c ...thanks for ur blog and hard work. I love what you do.

I voted that I wouldn't buy, however I might if I had more information. I normally only download free apps, but while in the hospital with my first child I downloaded an app that was $3.99 for my phone and again for my husband's phone. It allowed us to keep track of his feedings, diaper changes, medical statistics, etc.

I, too, found your blog on one of the very long and sleep-deprived first nights home from the hospital. If you had offered an app then, I would have happily paid for it! Now, however, I use my Google reader to stay connected to you.

In summary, I would've happily paid for it when I first had my baby. Now, depending on what it would offer and do, I might still consider it.

Good luck with it!

I don't want to go to specific, but it would be more than an app version of this site. It would track everything you want tracked and would have key info from the site as well.

Yes! Android version?!?!

I said I would buy, but it would depend on what the app does nd what the price would be. I don't generally buy apps, but was looking at one the other day to track feedings, growth, etc when my baby is born. If you make an app at does that according to the Babywise model, plus include info from your blog and other resources, I think it would be awesome! Still probably wouldn't spend over $5, though, because that's just how I am. :-)

I've often wished there was a babywise app - especially for those nights when I was nursing with my ipod! It would be a wonderful tool. I hope you do this!

Reading your description just now, I want to repeat that I would DEFINITELY buy it. I bought a timer that allowed me to track feedings with my first, but an app with babywise information as well would be much better.

I would download it, but I'm an Droid user. I have noticed most apps are made for iphone first, then if I'm lucky an android version comes out months later. If that was the case, I wouldn't be able to download it until an android version was available. I don't understand why people don't create apps in both platforms. It would make more money than on iphone alone....

I totally think it would be worth it. I too spent a lot of my time in the early days nursing while on my blackberry scouring this site.

Amelia, it costs a lot of money to get an app designed (15k or more), so they probably can't afford to do both initially :)
