52 Small Changes {Giveaway}


For today's giveaway, I have something really cool for you. This is the book  52 Small Changes: One Year to a Happier, Healthier You.  You know how I love baby steps for things? This book is 52 baby steps to improving yourself. Each week the book gives you an assignment of something to change, along with ideas for implementing, as well as the "why" behind it all.

The book is simple, easily laid out, and organized. It helps you to make a lifestyle change, rather than fixing something for the month of January and tossing your hands up by February.

And not only do we have one copy to give away, but three! Hurray! Three of you will win your own copy. Three winners, three entries:

For Your First Entry:
Become a follower of this blog. Then leave a comment. If you are already a follower (the
thing where your cute face pops up with all the other cute faces of people following),

Entry Rules
  • You must leave a comment in order to have an entry.
  • You must leave a separate comment for each entry. This is not so I can get lots of comments--it is because it makes it a million times easier to choose a winner. It takes less time, and less time is good. Plus, it makes sure I don't miss an entry.
  • You don't have to do all three entries...for example, if you just want to follow this blog, you can just do entry one.
  • One entry per comment.
  • Up to three entries per person.
  • You must fulfill the rules of each entry for each entry to count. If I see the entry is not valid (did not meet entry requirements), I will disqualify your entry. Trust me, I check.
  • Entries will be accepted until Monday, January 23 when I choose the winner.
  • The winner will be randomly selected at random.org
  • The winner will be announced Monday, January 23.
  • If you would like, you can add your email address to your entry. If you are the winner, I will email you to let you know. You do not need to add your email address in order to win. I understand not everyone wants to share their email addresses with the world. I will announce the winner on the blog, so you can check the blog Saturday to find out if you won.

I would have to say that one thing (out of the MANY) I need to do to be a healthier "me" is to cut down on the junk food I consume!

I need to eat more veggies! Since having our twins, our dinners have been what ever I can whip up the quickest - and a lot of times it's sans veggies

Hi - my daughter started doing an extended night (9-11 hours/night) at 9.5 weeks old, but some time after I changed her to a 4-hour schedule (right after I introduced solids, around 5 months of age, going from 6 feedings/day every 3 hours to 4 feedings/day every 4 hours) she stopped sleeping through the night. She has woken up at least once/night nearly every night since, never at a consistent time, regardless of how much breast milk she gets at her last feeding, and will not go back to sleep unless I feed her. I've tried CIO, but even after an hour, she is relentless. She also will not sleep without her arms swaddled, something we continued because her reflux made her miserable and she would not sleep without it. She recently stopped refluxing (hooray!), and we tried weaning her of it, but so far it has been pretty horrific. Should I try reintroducing a dream feed to see if I can break her out of this habitual waking and eating? Thanks so much for your blog - it has been an incredible resource!

I need to be better about getting up to feed Baby Girl on time in the morning so our whole day isn't off.

Oops - my math was off. She was eating 5 times/day, every 3 hours. When we began solids, we went to 4 times/day every 4 hours. And she currently takes 2 naps a day, usually 1.5 hours each and has a very consistent bedtime routine.

i know it's your example comment, but i really DO need to be better about getting my water! for me, and for my daughter because i can tell it affects my milk supply. i am also really working on my organization for my mental health!!!

The thing I need to be better about, or should I say quit, is smoking. I quit when I got pregnant, but after I had him, I started up again! SO frustrating.
