Share Your Favorite Baby Products

This post may contain affiliate links.

Let's hear it. What can't you live without?

My last baby was three years ago, which to me feels like a really long time. I know that in the two years between Kaitlyn and McKenna, lots of new products came out, so I imagine the same has happened and want to know if there is anything I should strongly consider adding to our collection.

Favorite monitors? Favorite baby food making stuff? Favorite toys? Favorite teething products? Favorite _____ (fill in the blank). Share it! Please!

Of course, everyone has their own favorites but here is my list!

Don't know if you are familiar with baby-led weaning (or solids). But i did that, and lovedddd it. So did my girl. I got the book "baby led weaning cookbook," which summarizes the principles and timelines, and gives recipes. If you hate spoon-fed feedings or making your own baby food, there is another way!

bag balm for diaper rashes. I know it's typically used for cow udders, but it has been one of the most effective in healing my little girls sore bums... which she gets A LOT!

I loved my Boppy Lounger. It's not for nursing like the traditional Boppy. I didn't want to cart the bassenet to the living room or my parents house so the lounger was great! So for those short little naps infants take, it was perfect.

I am not one to buy all the latest gadgets but one thing I absolutely loved was the Puj tub. It's soo nice for the newborn stage and I never had to worry about hurting my back bending over a tub. I bought it used but was ready to pay the bucks to have it new or used. Check out the video on the side of this link: http://pujbaby.com/products-page/bath/puj-tub/

Love the idea of doing a list on your blog! Maybe I will do one of those on my own blog when I get pregnant again someday. Here's my thoughts for now:

1. A video monitor. (But you already knew that).

2. A great swing. (You already knew that too. We've never had one. I hope to find one next time. Hope is not a strong enough word there.)

3. Miracle blankets

4. An infant tub. We used the sink for DS for the first 6 months and that was impossible. (You probably already knew this one too).

5. Boppy pillows

6. Pack'n'play and a thick, comfy, quilted "sheet" or mattress pad for it.

7. Sleepsacks. I love the "sleep nest" that we bought on Amazon that snaps at the shoulders. DD never did figure out how to unsnap those (perhaps not the brightest light on the Christmas tree? :) Kidding!) and I loved it!

8. A swing for outside (those blue plastic ones that hook onto the swingset) and a nice, easy to push stroller.

9. Those silicone trays from Williams Sonoma for making my own baby food. SO SO SO much nicer than ice cube trays!

10. Footie sleepers with mitts to cover those little hands (but we had winter babies).

11. White noise machine. We have three of the same one - I'm paranoid that two might die at the same time. :)

12. Blackout shades, blackout curtains. Lawn trash bags + masking tape for traveling to make any room dark. :) (You have such good sleepers, you probably don't need all that!)

13. Older siblings, to run grab a fresh diaper, entertain the baby, or help carry things. SO nice.

14. This blog and the Chronicles forum.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head!

I love the Aden + Anais lightweight swaddle blankets. I found them at Target and Buy Buy Baby.

I have two boys in diapers, so a must for me is a great diaper bag that is big and also looks like a cute purse. Mine is from Nest and it's perfect!

I love the tiny diner placemat by summer! It's so much better than those plastic stick on table covers for dining out...washable so it's "green" and reusable! We have used ours with two kids.

Also love bumkins bibs. They last FOR.EV.ER!

A snuggle me for the car seat so you don't need blankets or jackets in the winter!

Definitely the SwaddleMe by Summer Infant! It was a life saver in the first few weeks!!

Withings makes an amazing baby monitor: http://www.withings.com/en/babymonitor

It allows you to watch and communicate with the baby on your iphone from anywhere in the world.

Also, can't live without aquaphor.

okay that iphone-compatible monitor sounds AMAZING. i just need to get an iphone. and a loan to afford the monitor.

my wouldn't-wanna-parent-without items are miracle blankets, an electric white noise machine, total darkness, and seriously sturdy bibs made of actual towel terry cloth. i actually use kitchen towels as burp rags since they're substantially larger and more absorbent than little gerber cloth diapers.

also i read a wonderful idea for if baby needs to be elevated due to reflux- a pool noodle under the crib sheet positioned just below where baby's feet will rest, to keep baby from slipping down as she sleeps. (also advised for the transition to big kid bed to prevent rolling right off the bed!)

A kickin coaster...like a bouncy seat but they can kick in it for a ride I would have never bought it but my sister insisted I try hers and it is hands down our most used and loved toy. I am also proud of how strong my 5 month olds legs are compared to older kids! He absolutely loves it and it would even be great when they are really little as it serves as somewhere to just set them until they figure it all out.

Loved my moby wrap- she was safely snuggled in close to me and I could get stuff done without worrying about little hands and feet dangling out.

I also have My Brest Friend pillow instead of a Boppy. It's more firm and easier to use to nurse- it wraps all the way around and can also be used for the same uses the Boppy has- like aiding baby in sitting up, helping with tummy time, etc.

I too love the Aden and Adais swaddlers! They are so soft, wrap tight, and stay swaddled! LOVE them!

I second/third/fourth the Ergo. I don't use it in the house (afraid that they'll start to need to be held all the time), but when you're out with multiple kiddos (Mine are 19 months apart), it's awesome to have hands free!
Also love my roll-up bibs (like these: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3918130). They're GREAT from first solids through toddlerhood. Spills fall into the pocket instead of all over the high chair or table. AND they just wipe clean instead of getting moldy/smelly waiting for their turn in the washing machine.
Also really lloving my KidCo Go Pod (http://www.amazon.com/KidCo-GoPod-Portable-Activity-Seat/dp/B00477ND0Q). I didn't use it a whole lot with my first, but it's been a lifesaver with #2. He (8 months old) loves sitting in it watching my 2 year-old play outside. Also great to take when we go out of town or to visit. It's perfect for about 6/7 months until they learn to walk. Younger than about 6 months, it's just too big.

Things on my favorites list that have been already mentioned: Sleep sack, aden&anais swaddle blanket, Bumkins bibs.
I also really like my Beaba Baby Food maker--so easy to use and you can puree or cook soft chunks.

Cloud B on the Go Travel Size Plush Sound Machine! It's an adorable giraffe that makes white noise sounds and has been a life saver for us when having to run errands. Our DD loves the drum beat, but there are 4 choices to total. We originally had it strapped to her basinet but now it is usually always hooked on her car seat. I get comments every time we go out how cute it is and how fun the drum beat it. Get the travel one though and not the regular one as it's a more manageable size and has a velcro strap to hook it to anything!
