This is a summary for Brinley’s 38th week. She was 37 weeks old.

NURSING

Nursing is same old same old. It is good. I am pumping some nights, but not all. I seem to cycle. I pump a few nights in a row, then I don’t for a few nights, then I do…

SOLIDS

This week, I gave Brinley cheese. I just cut it up into little squares. She LOVES it! Super loves. It is her new favorite food.

We also tried one of those food pouches at church this week instead of spoon feeding her…HA! She didn’t know what to do, which led to me squeezing it into her mouth, which led to big mess. I guess it would be best to practice at home? What did you do to teach baby to eat from a pouch?

SLEEPING

Sleeping is same old same old.

CRAWLING

Brinley started crawling walrus-like. She uses both arms to pull herself forward at once. It is super hard (yes, I tried it). My older girls had a tumbling show off and they apparently do a move like this to help build arm strength in preparation for hand stands. She is getting pretty fast at it.

SOCCER

Soccer season is in full force. Brayden and Kaitlyn are playing. Brinley loves to be outside, but we have had a cold snap and every soccer game has been out in the very rainy cold. She doesn’t love that. The picture above is her at a game–not so pleased! I have found two good solutions.

One is to leave her in her carseat in her JJ Cold Bundleme. Then I put a wool blanket over the carseat and make a little cocoon. She also has a warm beanie on.

The best is to park so I can see the field and stay in the car with her. I just hold her on my lap and she loves watching from the car. Hopefully some warm weather can show up…
