BFBN Week: Keeping the Crazy to a Minimum {Guest Spotlight}

It’s Babywise Blog Network (BFBN) Week! All week, we’ll be featuring blog posts from other Babywise-friendly blogs. The schedule is as follows:

You may have noticed we have two new members of the Babywise Friendly Blog Network. One of them is Elaine from Faithfully Infertile. She hasn't guest posted here yet, but will soon :).

Today, Elaine is talking about being family-centered (as is our theme this week). She comments on bringing her first baby home and feeling clueless despite her experience with babies. She says "I was trying to figure this baby out because even though I had practically grown up taking care of babies, having your very own baby to care for is a whole new ball game and I felt clueless." This is so true--even if you have experience with babies, when you are the one in charge and you on are duty 24/7, it is very different (interestingly, I had a similar epiphony when we got our first puppy as a married couple. I had dogs literally my whole life, but having a puppy as a child and having a puppy as the adult in the house are two very different things).

Head on over to her blog today as she discusses five things to do with a newborn to help get your family to a place where things can be "family-centered" rather than "baby-centered." Faithfully Infertile
