Leigh, have you read On Becoming Pottywise? They suggest you focus on clean and dry panties rather than going in the toilet, and that really does help.

I do think a little potty would be a good idea because my kids have all been more comfortable with that initially, plus it is something a little one can do herself.

Thanks Riddlez. She doesn't really drink milk anyway. She drinks at most ever 8 ounces a day, typically only 2-4. But she has since had tubes and we found out the reason...it will be in the toddler summary next tuesday :)

Sarah, at first, she was calling to me when she needed to poop, but then she wouldn't poop and it was every five minutes going in. So I put her potty in her room on a towel and told her to call me if she actually pooped in the potty. That worked great. I did the same for nap time. It doesn't solve your problem totally since you are exercising, but it should make it so you only have one

My daughter is 2.5 and has been not sleeping well. She used to be on the same sleep schedule as your daughter but now all of a sudden she is coming into our room by 6 sometimes before. Then her nap during the day has been ending at 3:15 instead of 4 :( I'm not sure what to do bc she can get really crabby when she does that over a period of time. Suggestions on what to do?

p.s. I agree with Sarah - I have friends and family members whose kids are terrified to poop or even sit on the toilet, so I'm afraid of scaring her off too. Though she's not scared at all right now and always will tell me that she is supposed to go on the potty not her panties...

I'd also like to hear your comments on pooping! My daughter (28 mos) also goes poop almost consistently during IP time. Either that or when she's running around after dinner. To pin her down to get her to sit on the potty for poop is difficult! I also find that I'm reminding her a lot to sit down to pee, even though she often will go when I tell her, so I know she had to use the potty

Have you tried dropping milk? Sometimes that clears up chronic ear infections for kids. Might be worth a shot to avoid tubes.

Val, congrats on potty-training! My Jack turned 33 months on the 8th and we are at the same point with PT. What do you do about pooping? He is refusing to go on the potty and almost always goes during IP which is an hour. I exercise during that time so I can't run in and out every second, so lucky me, I get to clean it out of undies on a daily basis. Did any of your other kids have this
