  1. please do not think i am nuts and i have not had to do this but my friend swears (except she never would really) that breastmilk soap she has made is her best help.

  2. I posted this on the other blog posting about polls, but I wanted to make sure you got this.Would you also consider doing a poll on what diaper rash treatment worked best for those of us who had dealt with that? There are SO MANY choices and different options out there, it can be overwhelming for a mom to know what to do. A poll showing the most popular ones might really help. Thanks for your consideration!Amy

  3. I use an otc cream you can find at Walgreens called Vanicream. It works great for ezcema, cradle cap and I use it on my baby's cheeks and chin for his drool rash. It is not greasy like aquaphor. It was recommended to me by my sister-in-law whose baby had extremely bad ezcema all over and had to wear socks on her hands at all times. She had tried everything even prescription creams but this worked the best for her. I gave it a try and I love it.

  4. We use vasaline. Just plain – not baby or sented. We do it 2 times a day in the morning and before bed. My sister has it also and she told me to give it a try. I was worried about his clothes and pajamas getting an oily stain but I have had no issues at ALL! Love IT!

  5. I got a huge tub of Cetaphil cream (the thick stuff) from Costco and I put that on her after baths. I like it because it absorbs and is not greasy, I hate that greasy feeling. Then we use the medication strength Hydrocortazone for the really bad spots.

  6. Long time follower, first time leaving a comment :)I put 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil in my LO's bath (beware – makes for a VERY slippery baby! (grin)) – it has been incredibly effective in clearing up her eczema.Love your blog, Thank you!!

  7. I have also used the coconut oil on my daughter (lots morning and night). But my daughter has REALLY bad eczema… we also use lanolin cream and is works wonders on the driest spots! You only need a little, so although it is expensive it lasts a long time. I used the tube that I had opened when I started breastfeeding and it took us 2-3 months to use it up.
