NURSING WHEN SICK
At the end of this week, I got the 24 hour puke thing–fun right? For some reason, I get this every time I am nursing and in March. Maybe with McKenna it was late February? Anyway, I got it and couldn’t keep anything down for a day. This obviously hits your milk supply. But it didn’t really show an impact until later in the next week, so stay tuned for that.
Luckily, Brinley didn’t get sick. Hurray!
PLAYING
Brinley continued with her super-duper happiness. So much fun!
Brinley is just getting better and better at sitting. Her balance still needs work, but improvements are being made.
INDEPENDENT PLAYTIME
I am trying to be more consistent with Independent playtime. I need to sit and think about when we can do it. It is a bit tricky because I like to do it with the first waketime, but on weeks we drive to school, it is hard to work it in at that time slot because a lot of it is taken up with going to school and back.

I do make sure she plays independently each day, but I think she is getting to the age where I need to be more consistent about the time of day and the place it is happening as well as calling it what it is.

SLEEPING
This week, there were several days where we had something going on and I needed Brinley to have good naps, so we did some days with the sleep positioner during naps.
Then she started getting super strong and could roll over the sleep position, then she would play with it. She also started rolling off of her tummy again.
Her evening nap moved back to 6 PM.
SOLIDS
Brinley had mango this week. She liked it fine. There wasn’t really strong emotions in either direction.
TIME CHANGE
The time change was this week. I really was dreading it because we had a really consistent schedule where she was getting up from naps and going down for naps at the same times each day. I knew the time change would throw us off.
This is the first time I have ever done a time change with a baby and didn’t do it in my “15 minutes” change each week way. It was so much harder for me not doing it that way!
The problem was, though, that to change it slowly, I would have had to have started waking her earlier each day, and because of school, I couldn’t do that. I needed her to be on the schedule we had.
So we did it cold turkey initially, but that messed with her too much, so we went 30 minutes. It still took several days for her to get used to it, but it was easier for her than a full hour difference.
The time change really throws me off, too. My sleep gets off, my metabolism gets off…I seriously, seriously, want there to be no time change. Why do we do that to ourselves? I mean, I know the listed reasons we do it, but really WHY?!?!?
