It’s Babywise Friendly Blogs Network Week again! All week, we’ll be featuring blog posts from other Babywise-friendly blogs. The schedule is as follows:

Today’s post is from Emily over at Journey of Parenthood. She gives advice on how to deal with family when they do not support how you are raising your child. Emily and her husband really stood their ground with their family rules and have had great benefits from doing so! Head on over to her blog to read the whole story. Emily says,

If you’re dealing with Babywise nay-sayers in your life keep doing what you’re doing. Remember that it’s your baby. As people offer up their own advice (which is inevitable!) let them know you appreciate it and will consider it and then do what YOU think is best. It can be hard when you don’t feel like others support your decisions as a parent, but I assure you that they will come around and will probably end up being Babywise cheerleaders themselves

I have written a similarly-themed post titled: Dealing With Difficult Family Members. In it, I link 10 tips on how to address difficult family members when they object to anything you do as a parent.
