It’s Babywise Blog Network Week! All week, we’ll be featuring blog posts from other Babywise-friendly blogs. The schedule is as follows:

  • Monday: Valerie Plowman, Chronicles of a Babywise Mom
  • Tuesday: Hank Osborne, Daddy Life
  • Wednesday: Maureen Monfore, Childwise Chat
  • Thursday: Bethany Lynch, The Graceful Mom
  • Friday: Surprise Guest Blogger

Today’s post is from Hank over at Daddylife.net. His post is a plea to mother’s to realize some things from the Dad’s point of view. I had to laugh as I read it; so many things are true and seem completely unbelievable to me.

We truly do not realize it is bedtime, dinner time, homework time, chore time, time to stop wrestling on the living room floor, etc, etc. Wives seem to think it is so obvious in terms of what needs to be done and you often see our non response as unloving.

Has this ever happened to any of you? You sit there annoyed because it is so obvious that XYZ should be happening and your husband is…any number of things. Hank gives some simple advice to moms on what to do in these situations. Go on over and read it! Isn’t it great to have a dad in our network to help bring another point of view in?

Valerie, also known as The Babywise Mom, is the mother to four children. She has been blogging on Babywise and general parenting since 2007. Perfect timing! I'm on my way over to read the whole post now, but just last night I was baffled at my husband playing a parade-like fanfare (on the radio) for the baby when "obviously" it was time to be winding down for bedtime. 🙂

Agreed! My husband never " gets" what's supposed to happen either!
