  1. Hi there, I’ve been searching your blog for a few weeks, I LOVE it and thank you for all the time you put into it. I really need your help/advice.Our daughter is 9 weeks old, she came home from the hospital with a cold and then two ear infections followed. I have two older children in school and it’s hard to prevent the germs, I’m always doing as much as I can to keep hands washed and coughs and sneezes covered. She’s been pretty much held most of her short life, especially during the day due to the fact that she would scream when you put her down. She’s just finished her second round of antibiotics and I took her to the doctor yesterday to get the Ok, that she’s well. I’ve been trying to implement BW for the last few days. She’s killing me, she’ll scream for an hour or more when it’s time to nap. As of today, I put her down for a nap at 9:10 (she ate at 8:30) she slept for 1/2 hour or so and then screamed untill 11:00 (we’re on a 2.5 schedule) This afternoon I put her down for her nap and she screamed for over an hour and never went to sleep. I fed her at 1:30, she stayed up for about 45 min. and then conked out in my arms, she’s now sleeping – but I will wake her to eat at 4:00 if she’s not already up. I do go in and try to calm her, but it makes it worse. The crying is awful, I have lost my milk supply and am now using formula, my nerves were shot and I wasn’t eating during the times she was sick, I just couldn’t do it. Im I doing the right thing here? I did BW with our second baby, right from the beginning and it was great. I feel that I’ve lost all hope here, besides losing my mind. At night she goes to sleep around 9:00 and will get up for a bottle around 2ish, then between 4:00 and 5:00 for another. I’ve been trying to have her wakeup time at 7:30 and feed her right off the bat, but at times..like today she got up 3X 2:00am, 4:00, 5:45 and then at 7:15 or so. She’s always eating at least 4 ounces and she has a dry diaper when I put her down for a nap. I feel like I’m trying to do everything right, today’s only the second day of implementing BW and my nerves are shot. Sophie is a big girl too, she’s 9 weeks and weighs 15 pounds. Please, please help, I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.
