Favorite Toys: Great Christmas Gift Ideas. Great gift ideas to get for your children for Christmas.
Christmas is coming!!! I love Christmas. I am a major non-procrastinator when it comes to getting gifts for others, and for that reason, I like to give you ideas well in advance as well.
Each fall, I like to compile any new toys my children have gotten over the last year and just love. This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share some commission.
Gift Ideas For Children
Here are some gift ideas for your children
Brayden–10 Year Old Boy
Brayden has long been a huge fan of LEGOs, and this year has been no exception. This year, Brayden has tried LEGO Technic sets and has really enjoyed those. They are a bit more challenging that sets he has used in the past. He also has tried and loved the LEGO Architecture sets.
Pokemon cards are a huge hit for him as well.
Kaitlyn–8 Year Old Girl
Kaitlyn is still very much into art things. One new art adventure she has taken on is Perler Beads. She is also into origami. She does enjoy LEGOs also and really likes LEGO Friends sets.
Something Kaitlyn really loves is to go to a store like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnnes, etc. and look through the crafts and purchase something there. She especially likes Paintable Figurines like these ones from Melissa & Doug.
McKenna–6 Year Old Girl
The name of McKenna’s game is anything that requires great physical effort. McKenna loves her Roller Inline Skates with a passion. She also loves her Lifetime Dome Climber. She also enjoys playing dress up and loved these Melissa & Doug Terrific 5 Toppers Dress-Up Hats we got her for her birthday. She has a lot of dress up outfits already–plenty. These hats are really fun accessories to go along with the dress up play.
Brinley–3 Year Old Girl
Brinley loves princesses. And Calico Critters. And Barbies. And playing with dolls. Brinley doesn’t get much in the way of new stuff because we obviously really have plenty. We did get her Fozen Magicclip set. McKenna had loved these as a preschooler, also, but we didn’t have Frozen ones. Kaitlyn had loved the Calico Critters as a preschooler, also. Those are expensive enough that we just slowly built the set. For Brinley, we just added the Calico Critters Deluxe Living Room Set.
Choosing and Organizing Gifts
I am very methodical in how I choose gifts for people. I am very much a believer in “it’s the thought that counts” and I put a lot of thought into the process. Plus, I don’t want to purchase toys just for the sake of purchasing them. I don’t want them in our house unless I think my kids will love them long-term.
And don’t miss my Gift Organizer {Free Printable} for organizing your ideas.
