Today is simply a review to tell you about a couple of products.

First, is from the company Noodle & Boo

Inspired by her children’s need for products developed for ultra-sensitive skin, Christine Burger founded Noodle & Boo. Working with professionals who specialize in natural, holistic skin care each exclusive formula is developed to nourish, replenish and protect especially delicate and sensitive skin. The company is lovingly named after Christine’s two young children, Andrew and Matthew, also known as Noodle and Boo.

This company makes products especially for babies and children with eczema and sensitive skin. Ingredients are certified organic when available–ingredients are safe and products do not include questionable chemicals. The products have a nice smell, too.

Products for babies include shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, lotion, ointment, bubbles, cleansing clothes,  hand wash, hand lotion, sunscreen and more. There are also products for mom to enjoy.

Noodle & Boo sent me samples of the sunscreen back in the summer and recently the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. All products have worked well, and something I liked about the sunscreen is that it wasn’t super greasy.

Go to the Noodle & Boo website for more info and details on where you can purchase this product.

Second is from the company Love & Luck Greetings. This company makes greeting cards (and more). The cards are created by a husband/wife duo. They have charming little touches like rhinestones and are handmade.

The Love & Luck brand is new to the stationery scene, bringing a dynamic aesthetic, sweet sense of humor and clever craftsmanship to the mailbox marketplace.

After twelve years of endless love, Alana and Javier tried their luck on a new joint venture, creating a brand based on their congruous artistic gifts.

They have cards for and about Baby, birthdays, gratitude, holidays, love, special occasion, and sympathy. Go to the Love & Luck Greetings website for more info and details on how to purchase some Love & Luck cards.

Have a Happy Halloween weekend!

About a month and a half ago, I had a reader ask if I would consider reviewing an item she had made. I thought that sounded like a good idea. I thought I would open it up to all readers. If you have items you make for children, I will be happy to review it if you want me to.

If you are interested, leave a comment. Let me know of where you have photos (etsy store, blog, website, etc.). Please also leave your email address. We can then talk and you can send me a product to review.

I will delete all comments with email addresses as soon as I get them.

This is not a product review, but rather an article review. I have used babywise since my daughter's birth 11 months ago and it has gone well. However, articles such as this damage my confidence and make me think that I may have chosen to do something harmful. Help??!!

I have since decided the writer of the article I mentioned above was being ridiculous and bashing anyone not following their method or child rearing…therefore, in one ear and out the other 😉

Sarah, that sounds interesting! I am no lawyer, but I would think if you had the warning of "don't leave unattended with children…not a toy…not for use over head" etc. you should be fine. There are lots of things that are potential hazards out there. Leave a comment with your email and I will email you and you can send me a pic.

Hello~ I would love to have you review some of my products. I have a business called Lola Decor and Made For Your Little Monkey (FYLM). The first is a vinyl graphics and lettering business. You can view my products in my etsy shop at http://www.loladecor.etsy.com I have a nursery/baby section and a children's section also. I am completely happy designing custom pieces to match bedding or other room decor also. The second business (FYLM)is designing custom baby onesies. I have a blog you can view some of my designs at http://www.madeforyourlittlemonkey.blogspot.com . This blog will hopefully be moved into an online shop eventually. If I can take the time out of "life" to get it going. LOL. Anyhow, if you are interested in doing a review, I would LOVE it. Thank you so much for opening up this opportunity for small business owners and moms to showcase their work. That is wonderful! Thanks in advance for your time.Jamie CouchLola Decor LLCMade For Your Little Monkey

Sarah said…Valerie,I just recently found your blog, but I wish I had known about it when my daughter was born. I unsuccessfully tried the Babywise method. If I had known about your blog, I think we would have done better. We would be thrilled for you to review our ultra personalized baby blankies! Our website is http://www.fillintheblankie.com. Also, it would be our pleasure to provide you with the opportunity to create one for McKenna. We also enjoy doing giveaways too, similar to the one you conducted for your sister-in-law.Look forward to hearing from you,Sarah Owenwww.fillintheblankie.com

Tracy said…Val, I've followed Babywise and your blog since my boys were born a year ago. You used my comment for your "help a reader out" recently and it was great. I'm new to the blogging world, but started one at the beginning of the year about feeding my boys. I'm hoping for it to be a place for moms to learn and share thoughts and ideas on feeding our babies and toddlers. I would love for you to review it at http://52weekbabyfood.blogspot.com.
